Hola Amigos! Welcome back to another episode of Dora the Explorer, just kidding. Glad to see you’ve stuck with us this far (please don’t leave). How’s your week been going?, mine has been extremely stressful.
I want my mummyπ’ |
So much for the "uni glow", all I have now is stress acne and headaches. At least there are 0801521090 things that could be worse than this. But it would genuinely help if I had the Access to make my week a happier one.

Amidst all these very exhausting activities I’ve been up to, my brain still found it in me to write an article this week ( That's cause I love you guys too). So here goes,
I’ve come to a very life changing conclusion that there’s no such thing as true love. Yes, you read clearly. If you’re the hopeless romantic (like I once was), I hate to break it to ya but you’re wasting your time.
You’re probably wondering why I came to this conclusion, and yes I haven’t actually been in love ( neither did anyone break my heart!) but it’s something that's been brewing on my mind.
I believe that the only genuine love-well after the love God has for us, is the one that exists between a parent and his/her child. Any other type or form, is just a thing of the mind.
TILL DEATH DO US APART- Yeah Right.
You must be thinking, If love doesn't exist, then why do people keep getting married?, and why do butterflies fill up your belly when you see a certain someone?, or why are some kisses able to melt your toes off?. This is because your mind just enjoys playing games with you.
And, it’s also human nature to seek companionship, even if temporarily.
Haven't you noticed how newly weds act like they can't keep off each other but then after a few years, they change from #BAEANDBOO to #MUMMYJUNIORANDDADDYJUNIOR?.
Oh yeah, I said it! |
Hold your horses peeps, I'm not trying to advice anyone to join the Seminary or shave off their heads and live a life of solitude on a deserted island, all I'm saying is that when it comes to this feeling called love, decisions aren't meant to be made on impulse and definitely without proper evaluation.
If you still think I’m wrong, here’s an extract from the most accurate book on the planet, the Bible.
According to 1 Corinthians 13, “love is patient, love is kind, it doesn’t envy, doesn’t boast, is not illmannered or selfish, does not keep record of wrong, is not happy with evil, never gives up on faith, hope and patience.”
And finally (which is my personal favourite), “love is eternal”.
Seeing as human beings are blatantly imperfect, this level of love can never be achieved. And that's why we fall in love and eventually fall out of it.

The tough ones don't resort to separation and use the care and respect they have for one another to spur them on, while others go for an easier route of divorce with their sanity intact.
Now hey there, I'm not saying you shouldn't give love a try, it's just a subtle wake up call I guess, so you don't end up spending the rest of your lives with someone who doesn't have anything else to offer than emotion.
I really am, you just don't see it yet. |
This got me laughing and sober after
